作者简介：

　　D.V.M.Dr.Carlson, a medical and surgical practitioner in Springfield, Missouri, received his degree from the University of Minnesota Veterinary School in 1955. Dr. and Mrs. Carlson have raised five children and have always owned cats and dogs. Dr. Carlson is past president of the Greene County Humane Society and is currently in veterinary practice with his daughter, Lisa D.Carlson, D. V. M., who has contributed greatly to this book.
